1. Who we are

This policy covers this website, the free DateSweep plugin, the paid DateSweep Pro add-on, and our customer support.
2. This website
- Cookies: this website sets no cookies for visitors. (WordPress sets functional cookies only if you log in, which applies to site administrators, not visitors.) Because we use no non-essential cookies or trackers, no cookie consent banner is shown — there is nothing to consent to.
- Analytics & tag managers: we use no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels or social-media trackers on this site.
- Fonts: the fonts on this site are self-hosted on our own server — your visit triggers no requests to Google Fonts or any other font CDN.
- Server logs: our web host (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, timestamp) for security and operations; these are rotated on the host’s standard schedule.
- Checkout: when you click a purchase button you are taken to the Freemius checkout (see section 4) — no payment processing happens on this website.
3. The free DateSweep plugin
The free plugin, installed from WordPress.org, collects no personal data and makes no connection to our servers or anyone else’s. All processing happens inside your own WordPress database.
4. DateSweep Pro
DateSweep Pro uses Freemius for licensing, payments and updates:
- Purchases. Checkout is operated by Freemius, Inc. as merchant of record. Your payment details are processed by Freemius and its payment providers — we never receive or store card or bank data. Freemius’s own privacy policy and terms apply to the transaction.
- What we receive from Freemius: your name, email address, country, purchase and license details, and the URLs of the sites where your license is activated. We use this to provide license management, updates and support (performance of our contract with you).
- Plugin telemetry. After the explicit opt-in shown at activation, the Freemius SDK inside DateSweep Pro periodically sends license and diagnostic data (site URL, WordPress/PHP versions, plugin version, admin email) to Freemius to validate the license and deliver updates. Declining the marketing opt-in does not affect your license.
- IndexNow (optional feature). If you enable it, your own site submits its public URLs to the IndexNow API so search engines re-crawl them. No personal data about you or your visitors is involved, and nothing is sent to us.
5. Support
If you contact us, we keep the correspondence (your email address and the messages) for as long as needed to help you and to keep a record of the request, then delete it within [24] months of the last contact.
6. Recipients and international transfers
We share data only with the service providers needed to run DateSweep: Freemius, Inc. (licensing & payments, USA — transfers safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework), Hostinger (website hosting) and our email provider. We do not sell personal data.
7. Legal bases
- Contract — processing purchase, license and support data;
- Legitimate interest — security logs, keeping business records, defending claims;
- Consent — the Freemius opt-in and any newsletter you explicitly join;
- Legal obligation — tax and accounting retention of invoicing records.
8. Retention
License and purchase records are kept for the life of your account plus the retention period Spanish tax law requires. Support threads: see section 5. Server logs are rotated on our host’s standard schedule.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to [support email] and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Spanish supervisory authority (AEPD, aepd.es) or your local authority.
10. Children
DateSweep is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Significant changes affecting customers will also be announced by email.
